Please Help...

My husband and I recently moved to the Destin, Florida area and need to find a doctor or clinic to manage his medications...two of which are pain meds because of a severely broken neck. Does anyone know of a practice taking on new patients? We have excellent insurance and he's mire then willing to so screenings (blood) and the such. He was with his last doctor for well over 12 years and would be still if we hadn't had to move. Any help or suggestions would be VERY welcomed...

You can also use your Google search to find pain management doctors and see reviews about them. Best of luck to u.

It is also a good idea to check with the local hospital in the area that you'll be moving to and see if they have a Pain Management Clinic. Most Hospitals generally have a Pain Clinic. If not, then like the Doctor stated, the Hospital and it's medical insurance affiliate is usually connected to one.

To find a doctor close to your place you can consult your insurance agent or office. There may be others at your workplace or around who have been to a pain management clinic. So, you could ask them. Local pharmacists too could guide you. You could look through the local directory. Check and see if there is a pain support group. Members of this group may be able to help you. Your husband’s old doctor may be able to provide some reference. Hope this helps. Take care!
