lumber punch headaces

Hi I was admitted for encafilitus 7weeks ago. they did a lumber punch I only had to lay down for 6hours. after the 6hours I got up my headaches got worse. felt if somebody is squeezing my head. I started to vomit and had to lay down in hospital 3 days could eat of drink anything. I was in hospital 10days. Im at home 7weeks and if im up to long I get shaking nausea my head wants to burst so sore it is. this have been going on for the 8th week now. I also had an allergie against the antibiotic that they gave me for encafilitus so they took me of it and I just had to take tramaset. at the moment im constant on tramaset for the headaces can you pls tell me what can be wrong, pls e-mail me ***@****

thank you very much for the info. The Dr told the nurse that the neurologist who did the lumber punch must patch it and he said he don't do it because it can do more damage then.

Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. You probably have spinal headache, which usually happens after spinal anesthesia, spinal taps, or spinal injuries. A procedure called an epidural blood patch, if is successful, even temporarily, it generally means the patient does indeed have a spinal headache. A small amount of the patient’s own blood is injected into the space between the dura and the bony spine known as the epidural space. Please consult your doctor immediately regarding this.
