Hi there, unfortunatly I have no advice on your current situation, other than if your really desperate maybe go to the ER and see what they can do. Maybe a methadone clinic in your area?
I just wanted to mention, in case this happens to you again, or for anyone else who might read this. If your called in for a pill count and cannot make it due to distance or even being out of town, ask if you can go to the nearest pharmacy and have them do the pill count. Many PM places will allow this if you ask and explain your situation. Doing this tends to reassure them that your not trying to get out of the pill count at all.
Good luck.
they called me in for a pill count & knowing I live close to 30 miles away totally dependent on others to drive me places would not allow me to come in the day after they wanted me in (ie asked me to come in wed & I asked if thurs would be ok due to lack of transportation) I also reminded them that in close to 5 yrs this was the 1st time being called in for a count & without ANY warning from the RN I received a letter that Fri stating I was discharged with no offer of taper down or anything! They fed me the whole "DEA requires us to remove those patients who do not comply with our rules" crap & yet when I mentioned that I attempted to comply & it was THEIR refusal they brought up the contract I signed almost 5 yrs ago with more than 60 points on it that I did not receive a copy of! They gave me more excuses than a jonesin junkie!!! Thanks for ur love :0)
Oh thats awful! Methadone is a great pain reliever. Ive taken it too and always keep some around for breakthrough pain. Can you tell us why they let you go? And how long had you been there? Have you tried looking online for a new doc in your area?
