burning soles

I have had plantar fasciitis in both my feet and had cortisone injections in the soles of my feet so I could walk. It actually got so bad that I was almost crawling.  Now that the plantar fasciitis is under control again, I am back at the gym.  I want to do lots at the gym but can only manage 15 minutes on the bike or cross trainer.  By that time, the soles of my feet are burning so badly that I'm near tears. I have properly fitted trainers and cotton socks.  I have even put gel inserts into the shoes to try and make a difference. It didn't help. My body is able to do a lot at the gym but my feet are stopping me. Can anyone help?

I had surgery for my plantar fasciitis.  So I've been there, done that with the burning.  Still have burning stuff, so doc has me taking Lyrica for it.  Seems to really help.  Have you tried that before?

I hate that - it does hurt!  I have several posts on here about my burning feet.  To make it short - I have no real answers after several medical tests/dr.s.  It comes and goes, is worse with stress, not sure why.  Anyway - I wear the thinnest socks I can find and I think they say "coolmax" on the packaging.  I also bought some shoes - Merrell Primo Breeze II - and they are so much better.  they allow your feet to breathe.  I have basically decided to just take vitamins - be careful of B-6 though, as it can cause burning (neuropathy).  It comes and goes over slow periods of time - 1.5 yr. for me now, I think.  Take care and hope this helps, if you want medical exam I would go to a big university/teaching hospital like Cleveland or Mayo clinics.
