Help please? :/

Ok so I'm starting to think my chest pain and like occasional rib pain is just my joints maybe? I'm a pretty healthy kid but I've become lazy and I've been experiencing slight pain where I can crack my chest and ribs so I'm wondering how to fix the pain should I stop popping my joints and take a lot of ibuprofen or what? :/ also I have been having shortness of breathe but I think thats because my uvula is swollen and I've been having acid problems lately but I dont know if the acid is directly linked to my chest pain either

Yeah I probably will thanks :] and my uvula being swollen is because of my acid :/ I believe it seems the most likely cause I researched it a little but I need to see a doctor :/

I went to the ER once with chest pain and shortness of breath.  They gave me a prevacid and it actually helped with the pain and breathing.  I never knew that stomach acid could cause pain and breathing problems.
I've never heard of someone being able to consistenly pop their ribs and chest.  Mine have popped radomly here and there, but I don't know how I would do it again.
I agree with Mellie that you should see a doctor.  That's the best thing to do.

Welcome to the Chronic Pain Forum.  You're probably aware that there are no doctors on this forum.  We are all CP patients that share information and experiences and generally give each other support.

You could have a few things going on that I can think of off the top of my head.  But basically, the rule of thumb is if you've got something going on that lasts 2 weeks, you should see your doctor (of course, this rule isn't for emergencies or acute things that pop up.)

The rib pain could be some inflammation.  And you probably should stop popping your joints, though I know it's a difficult habit to break.

Any shortness of breath should be checked out.  If you're having acid reflux, you need to take something to protect your esophagus.  Why is your uvula swollen?  And how long has it been swollen?

Please check in with your primary care doctor.  He/she will be able to figure all of this out and whether it's all related or not. And they can also advise you on what's the best thing to take for the acid reflux.

Best of luck, and please let us know what you find out.
