Pain Reliever

I still have neck/chest pain post collarbone surgery.

My doc put me on Mobic- 15mg a day.... an anti-inflammatory. I guess it works for a lil bit... but the thing that sucks about Mobic is that if I have pain later on in the day, I can't take more than 15mg of Mobic- nor can I take any other kind of pain reliever like tylenol or asprin, etc because it can have serious side effects.

So pretty much, If I take Mobic in the morning and have pain at night, I can't take any more meds.

Does anyone have a good idea of a med that is not habit-forming, something that will work good, and something I can take every day?

THanks!

I am sorry you re having such problems controlling your pain. No good. Have you discussed this with your physician? If not that is the first step. In this day and age no one should have to suffer with pain needlessly.

The weekend if upon us. If you are unable to contact your physician until Monday and the pain becomes intolerable I recommend that you made a visit to the ER.

I am sorry you are in pain. Keep us posted and let us know how you are doing. Take Care, Tuck

I understand that there are severe adverse side effects from Tramodol. The withdrawl from this drug is visous. If you have questions on Tramodol please visit the Substance Abuse Forum, they can tell you horrible stories about the drug. Other than that, I don't know of other medication that would be effective other than Narcotics. Take care, Mollyrae
