I too have frozen shoulder following on from a Artriscopic Decommpression Sub operation. I feel I ahve gone backwards, did so well 10 days after my operation with regard to my movement and now I hav ethis issue. It is sooooooooo painful and it makes me feel sick on sudden movements and aches constantly.
My consultant has told me if I am not pain free in 6-9 months I will ahve to have more surgery Arthrisopic to releas capsule
If I am pain free I will still have very limited movement
Like I said, do check it out just to be sure, but I know what happened with my other hip and it did straighten itself out later. I checked with my Doctor to be sure about it. Never take anything for granted!
Please let me know what your physio says next week!! I will be anxiously waiting for hopefully "good news"!!!

First, I want to welcome you to the PM (Pain Management) Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. We are all CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other with our own expertise and experiences that we have developed through our own CP Issues.
I'm sorry that you are faced with this very painful and troublesome condition! As you know it can take up to 2 years for this to rectify itself, so be prepared for a long commitment to getting yourself better.
One of the best things that you can do is to have some PT (Physical Therapy) to learn the proper stretching techniques for your shoulder. If you incorporate the stretching exercises into your everyday regime that will be to your benefit in getting your life back to normal as quickly as possible!! :) It's my understanding, that "moist" heat will also help it in loosening up. I know that Pain Medications can also help with the pain, thought they do nothing for the stiffness. I hope that you are able to get the relief that you need and deserve!
I'm betting that your other arm is experiencing the symptoms of having to do "extra duty" when it comes to taking care of everything that you need. Before my left THR (Total Hip Replacement) my right hip and leg were definitely feeling the pain of over-doing and over-compensating for doing what my Left Hip and leg couldn't. As soon as my Left THR was completed and I was back to normal, the additional pain in the right hip and leg disappeared. I'm thinking that will most likely be the case with you. However, I am not a Doctor and you should mention this to your Doctor to be sure that there is nothing seriously wrong with your other arm. But, as I said, I really do believe it's just because you are using it so much more than ever before.
Please keep in touch with us and let us know what your Doctor is telling you and how you are doing.
I wish you the very best results possible and will look for your updates..........Sherry :)
