I agree with the others. A different medication might be in order. There are many out on the market that are far much better than you're current regiment. Please take care,

Hello Mammasisk,
I agree with Jollyman's response to your question. I think the Lortabs are just not effective in relieving your pain.
There are medications that come in liquid form, morphine being one of them. Your pharmacist will have a complete list of medications that can be prescribed in liquid form. He/she may also have ideas if there are other things you can do to aid in digestion of the medication. However I think you may need a different pain medication. I obtain more relief from Lortab (Hydrocodone) than I do from oxycodone. That is against all rationale but it is true for me.
I encourage you to discuss this with your prescribing physician. Good luck to you and please let us know how you are doing. We all learn from one another.
Take Care, Tuck
I had gastric done in sept 07 and go to a pain mangement dr. I have no trouble with my pain meds, i do need an adjustment but i have been taking percs for 4 years now. Personally loritabs have never worked for me. i was like that before i ahd the gastric. Sometimes your body handles different meds in different ways. So maybe your body doesnt respond to the loriyabs, i know of another member that cant take the loritabs. so talk with your dr i think that would be the best thing to do
