Hi, I had a complex radius fracture (it was broken in pieces) ... I had a plate & 9 screws. I had a LOT of incision pain, neurological "ghost" pain. Hot, cold, water, fire, ... it was hard to deal with. I did discover something that "distracted" the broken nerves. It was very simple. Give it a try...
ware one of those wrist bands, the stretchy ones that are for a cause, what ever. for me, it distracted the damaged nerves. I told my Ortho MD, he was even surprised! IT worked for me, see if it might for you???
I think the person grinds their teeth because of the pain in the wrist, that's the connection. Sorry i have no advice for you ssuziex7.

Hi!
I am not sure how a carpal tunnel surgery at the wrist is causing TMJ? TMJ is usually caused by a problem in the temporomandibular joint or in the jaw or muscles around the jaw or by impacted wisdom tooth. Please consult a dentist regarding this.
What could be happening is that the incisional neuroma is causing back pain along the nerve which you feel in the neck and jaw region. It can be treated by xylocaine injection at the site and by physiotherapy. Sometimes surgery is required. Please discuss this with your doctor. Take care!
