I take 3 soma (muscle relaxers) a day. I am also on ambien to help me sleep due to insomnia. I just want to know is it ok for me to take the soma and then take the ambien about an hour later. I don't want to OD or anything, I just want to be able to sleep well. Can anyone offer some advice.
I can tell you from experience that it is not wise to take these two meds together. I would suggest that you take them at least a couple hrs apart.
Last month I took soma and about 30min to an hour later took ambien. I ended up in the hospital for an accidental overdose because I stopped breathing due to the combination of medications.
both meds are CNSD's Central nervous System Depressants. I had the same doctor who wrote my prescriptions and the same pharmacy that filled both and neither one told me about the possible risks.

How were they prescibed? I would call your pharmacist and make certain but if these two medicines were prescibed at the same time and you filled them with the same pharmacy then I would say it would be fine. BUT... I know nothing about your health so please call your pharmacist and check:)
