migraine intractable pain managment

what would you suggest for pain rx for intractable chronic migraines?  I have tried stadol, fiorinol, migranal, and  triptan?  Oxycodone, hydrocodone provide no releive .  DHE-45 only gives partial releif.  Stadol NS made me rebound even worse. Benzodiazpans didn't even knock me out for migraine releif withthe stadol,  Baclofen is not helping.

My wife gets frequent migraines...and the only thing that seems to work for her is demorol and and antinausea med the name of which escapes me..she's tried everything else...I had her in the ER 2 weeks ago and the doctor acted like a mad scientist loading her up with a bunch of stuff I can't remember that had her wired enough to light up NY city...he refused to giver her demorol..

fortunately most doctors will ask "what works for you" and give it to her and send her on her way..she might sleep alot after, but she feels much better the next day.

Hi, I have Intractable Migraines that are really bad, what makes it worse is when they start they come in clusters.  My Neurologist, after two whole years, finally placed me on medication for the headaches.  I currently take Maxalt 10 mg), Nortriptyline (75 mg) and Compazine (10 mg).  I am hoping that they work, I took one the other day during a Migraine attack, and within an hour it was gone.

Hello. Sorry that you are having such bad migraines. Have you tried Imitrex tabs or the Imitrex shot. When I was taking a course of chemo I had the worst migraines ever and the Imitrex really helped me. It gave me slight light headedness but well worth the side effects. It is by prescription. If you haven't tried it.....give it is shot. It might help. Take care of yourself and hope you get better Mollyrae

I have chari malformation which is a birth defect that causes migraines and I have tried all of the above also... I take topamax nightly and morphine slow release 4 x day.. if the migraine get to the point I can't take it...off to the ER for Delotten, which is very strong but will usually knock it out... I was hospitalized last September for seven days with a migraine and basically comatose before they could get rid of it... Have they tried toradol yet? that might help at home... DHE-45 did nothing for me... hope this helped a little... pm me if you want to talk more.
