when I have drug interaction questions I go to druginteractions.com and enter the drugs that I am taking and it lets me know if they have any interactions or precautions. I also take fiorocet which has tylenol in it but I do not know off hand about the barbituate and how that would react with the ibuprofen at that dosage so check it out if you haven't already or for future reference. Good luck :) dizzy52
Hi and Welcome to tour Pain Management Community.
I am never comfortable giving advice on medication, even if I think I know the answer. This really is a question for your pharmacist.
Fioricet contains Butalbital, 50 mg; acetaminophen (Tylenol), 325 mg and 40 mgs of caffeine. It's usually prescribed to relieve the pain of tension (or muscle spasm) headaches. It's taking the acetaminophen and IB together that would be of concern in my opinion.... and I'll stop with that statement.
So just call your pharmacist and see what he/she recommends. They are the experts and their opinions are free. Please let us know how you are doing.
Take Care,
