What's a good pain meds to take for tooth ache

My dentist said to take 2 Ibupropin (with food) and 1 tylenol. It helps but as the other post said you need to get it taken care of.

A dentist.  Use an oral numbing agent until the appointment.

We aren't Dr.s on here so we can't provide any medical advice...

A suggestion would be Advil as this works for me. Mainly because a toothache is caused by inflammation....so Advil is an anti-inflammatory.

I would suggest that if it persists more than a few days to see a Dentist. If it gets infected it will be much harder to treat.
