why this pain

upper right quadrant pain but have no gallbladder

I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this.  I just experienced a problem with upper right quadrant pain and back pain.  It ended up being a gallstone that was lodged in there, even though I did not have a gallbladder.  I hope you get to the doctor and have them check it out as it could be a number of things causing the issue.  I know it's painful so please call the doctor.  Let us know what happens.
