lack of hygiene in teenage daughters

Hi,
I have two daughters, age 14 and 11, who both show a complete lack of hygiene regarding their menstruation. They seem to refuse using pads, continuously bleeding in their pants.
I guess the reasons for this are emotional, but I have no clue how to help them, or what are the deeper lying reasons.
Can anybody help?

You might want to discuss a couple of things with them that will let them know how it is to their advantage.

First, they may not realize that with age the volume is going to increase and at some point they are going to be totally embarrassed by it running down a leg.  You too need to keep up with this so you can increase the product.

Next would be the discomfort of a pad.  Some may even rub a heavily active kid to rawness.  With your older one you may want to consider the short smaller size tampons.

In any case have a discussion where they tell you their issue and attempt to fix it.  It may be different for each and different from your experiences.
