Questions questions questions

I know this is just about pregnancy and all that but I just wanted to ask the momma's that have one year olds, how did you ladies get your toddlers to walk? I'm expecting my second baby and my son seriously doesn't want to walk and he's so heavy I can't carry him anymore. I've tried everything letting him roam around the living room, not holding him while he uses that push walker and brieving him with food lol nothing works. Everyone that had their kids the same month as me started walking before they were one and mine is the only one that hasn't. (Yes I'm aware every child is different) I just need advice how I can help/encourage him to start walking! I don't need any rude comments either. Thank you :)

My daughter walked around tables etc ever since she was 8 months, however walking on her own, not so much. We let her walk back and forth between mom dad dad on a matras. First one step apart and graduatly increasing the distance. After a while she was confident enough to try on her own. She used a deck of cards to toss around the room en walked after it. She was 14 months old when that happened.

Do you have a foot stool?
Put it in front of the couch.

My daughter started walking at 8mo because she would pull herself to stand between the couch and the foot stool, and she'd use both ad guides to walk around.
When she reached the end of the couch and stool, she'd eventually get brave and start taking her own steps.

I don't know what others think, but it's been my experience that you just have to wait until he's ready.

Yes I was told the same but I can't keep waiting on him since I'm pregnant again and I won't be able to carry him much.

It can be very common some kids just don't feel the need to walk.

If you have a bouncer or saucer toy maybe avoid those for awhile,  my pediatrician didn't even want us owning one.

If he can stand on his legs help him walk whenever possible. We just held my daughters fingers and walked her around instead of  carrying her. My back hurt like hell for about 3 weeks But she started walking in her own.

Also if you love somewhere with a baby gym where he could be around 'walkers' I worked in a daycare and sometimes just being around bigger kids made the baby want to walk sooner.

Best of luck!
