6 yr old.always complains of some kind of pain somewhere.dont know what 2 believe

She has asthma and always complains of some kind of pain weather it be stomach pains or knee pain or a headache.she is always complaining and now i have no idea what to believe. Now she is crying saying her leg hurts.I did not see her fall or hurt herself at all and she was fine and then all of the sudden bam she is complaining and crying about it.i have taken her to the doctor in the past about pain in her legs but the doctor did not do anything.I dont know if i should taker her back to the doctor or take her to the ER.I dont know if all this complaining is normal or a way to get attention and if the pains are for real.they come out of the blue.i gave her motrin and put some mineral ice on it and layed her on the couch with a movie and oppppps the crying stopped.she is 6 and very very mature for her age and was even tested gifted at school (she is only in kindergarten)I am clueless as to what to do......I also have some behavriol issues with her but not today.......HUMMMMMM

I would love to hear about how this has gone over the years, and if you ever determined a cause. My almost 6 year old boy sounds just like your daughter. He has tested gifted at school, is very mature, always smart, funny, and bright. But he has always been very sensitive to things. At nights he's often had pains that were brushed off as being growing pains, they used to be his legs, back, and now bottom. He's had blood work, and nothing. We had him see a sensory therapist, and a cranio-sacral therapist. We've seen no major changes. He also is unable to stay dry throughout the night after being potty-trained for years. I always have wondered if there is an underlying sensory thing related to that as well. I am going to try the milk thing for a little while and see if that helps, but would love your feedback. Thank you.

My daughter is the exact same as your son down to peeling the bed at night. She has been brilliant since birth. Never sleeping included in this and knowing her colors by 1. She is very high anxiety and I would consider her to be obsessive also.
Have you ever looked into PANDAS?

I went through the same thing with my 2 year old at the time. To make a VERY long story short, he would wake up in the middle of the night screaming in pain, he started to cry in the middle of something, then it would go away like nothing happened. It was either head hurting, knees or feet, sometimes stomach. It was hard to get a specific with a 2 year old. I kept bringing him to the dr's. I was told growing pains, too. I brought him to the ER at one point and he had a spinal tap and was admitted. But they couldn't find what was wrong. Then he had gotten speckles on his butt and bruise like marks that wouldn't go away. From that his Dr. diagnosed him with HSP (his immune system was attacking his intestins and kidneys, and triggers artheritis and headaches)  which he did have. Confirmed with blood work. It was supposed to go away on its own within like 8 weeks, and at the time it was 4 months. He had his urine tested. His back hurt in his car seat. But to make the story shorter, I figured out he was allergic to MILK of all things. And he would have a reaction 4 hours later. I had bought new carseats out of despiration. I wouldn't have ever thought in a million years milk would give a reaction like this. Since then I read all labels and he has been a new child. He no longer screams in pain, unless there is some sort of cross contamination, from a friends house, or something. But I wished someone would have told me this to save the heartache and sleepless nights and so much worry. I do hope things have gotten better for you. I just had to share from one mom to another. There was so much more in detail with head pain, behind the knee pain. sweating, temprature droping (i thought my thermometer was broken) so much more that I could get into detail. ALL OF THAT GONE GOING DAIRY FREE! I could not believe it! I have three kids. It's been almost a year. and I've also noticed no more ear infections, sinus infections. And when they do get sick, its unbelievibly just runny noses for a couple of days and that's it. And my husband used to take omeprazol (?) 2x a day for acid indigestion, and he no longer gets it. My oldest used to get migrains and no longer has them either. Not in a million years would I have guessed things would have changed for the better with no milk. I hope this helps somebody. (I'm finding it easier to copy and paste this, so sorry if you read this in more than one discusion. I'm motivated to help at least one child that's going through what we went through)

is your daughter on any medications?  some asthma medications can have mystery side effects.  if she is on singulair, this could be the cause.  it might be worth a trip to the website www.****.com and look up singulair side effects.

my son suffered vague leg pains and stomach pains while on singulair.
