After a spring rain, the pavement is wet and usually there may be some worms. This has terrified my 10 year old that he refused to leave the front porch and demanded we drive instead of walking. We have to walk anyway after driving to school and he was freaking out, tip-toeing all around the sidewalks, even though there may be a small worm on the far side of a sidewalk. My 6 year-old just walked normally and was not afraid. I tried to console him, but I think at this stage, he can't hear anything I say and is focused only on the worms on the ground. Any suggestions?
