A jogging stroller, it it healthy for child's lungs

I know jogging/running is healthy for an adult. Thinking of purchasing a safe jogging stroller. My concern is that most my run is on sidewalks and that fumes of passing vehicles are unhealthy for the baby. Exhaust pipes seem to be more at the height of where the baby sits. I'm concern for the health of the baby's lungs short and long term. Is there any medical information available on this issue and what are your thoughts.

I don't know where you live but in general, a non busy road with side walks is fine to use a jogging stroller in my opinion.  Very common where I live and I used one.  We've used it everywhere and on all kinds of roads.  Neither of my boys have lung issues.  Most of my friends use them as well without issue.  If you are running down a highway . . . ugh, that wouldn't be good.  But in general, I don't think there is great risk to your baby.  He/she will sleep right through it (great way to put a baby to sleep!).  good luck and happy jogging!

Thanks so much for your thoughts. I've been looking for jogging trails and such, hopefully reasonable close to my home.

I haven't read anything about health and babies in the jogging strollers, however personally I wouldn't want to jog on any road that had a lot of cars ,I would rather drive out to the nearest park.I do believe that car fumes are bad for everyone especially a babies lungs.Best pop the stroller in the trunk and find somewhere nice to jog.good luck
