Why Is My 3 1/2 Yr Old Smart On Computer, Shapes & Letters But Clueless At EveryThing Else??

I have a 3 1/2 year old that knows 1. The sounds of all letters. 2. The entire Alphabet. 3. How to log on and off of a computer and toggle and play through all the Disney Playhouse Games. 4. Shapes. 5. Colors. 6. Was Potty trained at 2.  7. Knows how to spell her name. All she need to know how to do is learn how to read!!

An then everthing stopped.......

1. I asked her to go into her room to change her underwear.
She'll stand in the front of the dresser and say she cant do it.

2. I be sitting right next to her and ask her what she wants to eat for dinner.
She has no idea what food is.

3. She is having masturbation issues (So far I've seen it 4 times) I stopped this.

Is there something wrong with her?

She still knows all of these things, but for example if you ask her what she just did and she was playing outside on her scooter, sh'd start talking about how the room is cold. You know something not relevent and I am sitting right in her face asking the same questions over and over. Is this a short term memory thing?

Are you saying that she used to know all that stuff but doesn't know any of it anymore?  

Or are you saying although she is bright,  she has moments where she is completely disoriented and doesn't recognize common requests or words?

In either case I think you need to call her pediatrician.  It seems like it could be anything,  from a mineral deficiency to a head injury.
