thanks and i am going to take her to the doctor...i think its just part of normal development x
Chances are she's just developing. Girls are very self-conscious about breast development. Inverted nipples are very common and can be addressed while pregnant to make breastfeeding easier. She's fine. Be glad that she'll talk to you about it! The more you respond without judgment to her intimate questions, the longer into adolescence she'll talk to you about such things.
Good job, Mommy!
When someone finds that on one side, (only one breast affected) there is a change in the nipple and it has become inverted, then that is indeed one of the several symptoms to be alerted to, as it may be cancer. (other symptoms may be a lump, or discharge from the nipple, or other changes that were not there before, and limited to one breast)
I do not know what this means with your daughter but I think you should have her pediatrician look at it. Perhaps she has a little cyst that is drawing her nipple in, or something related to her breasts growing, and hormonal changes.) I don't know but that is what I would do.
I do not believe this is cancer related with her.
All the best, and let us know what happens. KAT
