my two week old baby has a swollen nipple

They told me at hospital that its normal and I keep reading about it how its called "witches milk" and some moms squeeze the nipples to get the liquid out and that it doesnt hurt but I'm flipping out....i feel like her right nipple is getting an infections or something its more swollen than the left one and its hard, i called the docs office but they suck at getting back to me about it and her next appointment is like three weeks from now. I dont know what to do...

its called baby lactation and is normal it will go away I doubt if squeezing is a good idea , leave it alone and mention it to the Doctor when you get to see him .It is caused by your hormones still in him ..

i've heard of this neither of my girls have had it though not sure about squeezing but you should be able to talk on the phone to your doctor about it they have the reports from the hospital i call my girls doctor all the time in between appointments and they can usually help me over the phone if its something common that they don't need to be seen for yet you also might have better luck on the new parents forum or pediatrics so i'll report this and they should send you to the right area
