normal?

So I'm new to this community. I came from one of the pregnancy forums. It helped me out a lot so I decided to try this forum to help with my newborn daughter and she's my first so I always have a lot of questions even though I've read and researched everything on babies. So my daughter is three days old. Shes being formula fed and shes a big sleeper. She would sleep through feedings if I let her I feel but eats the perfect amount, pooping and peeing very well. Is it normal for them to be this tired? Will she eventually wake up to want to feed?

Thanks. Yea I experimented and waited for her to mouth or cry for a feeding. Shes starting to at 3 1/2 to 4 hours. And when I wait like that she ends up eating more which is good. Thanks for answering my question.

It took my little one just over a week before she started waking herself up to be feed and now I dont have to set an alarm.  She is my first so I am no expert but everyone has told me that's normal.

Maybe you're right about not giving her a chance to wake up, u never waited past 3 hours? Maybe she would wake up after 3hr and 15 minutes lol I never woke my baby up for feeding, usually he wants to feed every 2 hours, but at night every 3-4 sometimes even 5 hours, even if I want to wake him up my hubby doesn't let me, he's like let him sleep and enjoy some free time, he likes when its quiet and baby is asleep lol

Every three hours we feed her. She doesn't wake up to eat or we dont really give her the chance to. I'm new at this so I'm unsure sometimes what I'm doing lol

Welcome to the forum and congrads on your baby girl, newborns sleep a lot the first few weeks but eventually she will have more and more awake time, also formula takes longer to process in her tummy than breast milk every 3-4 hours is fine if she has enough wet and poopy diapers, although I read somewhere that newborn should not sleep more than 4 hours between feedings, u didn't mention how often u feed her?
