please i have pcos Dostinex for hormone Duphaston for regulation of the period
Metformin will help in case of PCOS. However, they will put you either on Bromocriptine or Cabergoline to get your prolactin levels down. It is a must to get your prolactin level down to conceive. I heard that high prolactin level will not let the blastocycst to implant.
Let me know how you get on been on it 3 days now. No wonder you lose weight can't stay of the loo (probably too much info). My moods are far from perfact. The dr said should calm down in a few days.... We'll see good luck to every one keep in touch. Lisa
Thanks for the baby dust. Best wishes to you - I am sure the dr's will get your levels straightened out and that will help. It was tough to take the weight off - had issues up & down since high school - thought it was my thyroid - close but at least now I know, and easier to handle once I got myself into a routine with eating. You will do great ! Sure you will have NO problems conceiving once they get your levels right.
My doctor told me to lose some weight and I've heard Metformin helps, so that would be great to get at least lose some weight. I hope you got a BFP! =)
I haven't started yet and I'm hoping they will put me on it, I had to go in this morning for another prolactin level test and I've been watching my diabetes and its elevated more at night after I eat. I'm wishing you lots of Baby Dust!
Wow - you sound like me. I have PCOS, elevated prolactin levels and lower than normal progesterone levels. My dr. sent me for an MRI of my pituitary glad, to find a small tumor on it - said that is common on that part of the PG - nothing to worry about, put me on Cabergoline (Dostinex) once a week to lower my prolactin levels & progesterone, in addition to metformin, as they say it helps with fertility, too. Then they put me on clomid. So - no worries - it does help, and I should know next week if it helped us...The metformin helped me drop some weight too - it was great :-) Best wishes & sprinkles of baby dust !
I start metformin 2mora so fingers crossed, followed by clomid citrate! When you starting that? Or have you already? Lisa
