FYI,
Metformin is not known to induce ovulation or to improve ovulation. It may help regulate your cycles, but may not help with ovulation. Side effects should only last for the first 2 weeks. If you stay on a healthy diet, the side affects are not as bad. I had no side affects at all from this other then the first 2 weeks of loose stools.
I started Met about 2 months ago and I got my period I was never so happy in my life lol. My hubby and I are ttc so come nov if I am not pregnant than I will be going on clomid with my met. I am just having a hard time while being on the Met bad stomache pains and I am in the bathroom almost all day after I take my pills. I am on 1000mg a day it seems to be working but killing my stomache at the same time. If it helps me concieve than it was well worth the bathroom trips and stomache pain
I had success with both Metformin and birth control. Metformin is working so far alone. I've been on Metformin for now 1 year and birth control for 2 years. I stopped my birth control in August and had a normal period 8/30-8/31. I am looking forward to starting my next cycle this weekend. It's nice to see so far my cycles have normaled out.
