Trying to get pregnant with PCOS

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I really want another child. Can anyone tell me if it is even possible? And if so,what steps do I need to take to make this happen?

I would suggest if you dont have insurance to try fertibella :) it is fairly cheap & you can buy it online. Hope this helps!

Best thing for PCOS is if you loose weight and become healthy. sometimes even if you are healthy you are not ovulating for that you actually need infertility treatment. i was on metformin(500mg) and clomid(50mg). i was disappointed with results as i had it for 5 months. but with my 6th month on clomid i got pregnant however ended up with MC in december 11.
after that i have been told to loose more weight. i am still on metformin but yet not given clomid again. so i ll be trying to loose more weight as i am only 5 kg extra for my weight. i will try to conceive naturally now.
i know its difficult in your situation. however if you try loosing weight, you might be able to actually become pregnant by this. unless you are not having your periods at all. because then you will  be needing medication.

hopefully after loosing weight etc you will have a good news. :)

You could ask your doctor about metformin. I am on a combination of metformin and clomid. I got pregnant the first month that I took metformin with out clomid but it was a tubal pregnancy and had to be removed. I am now pregnant again from the combination. I know metformin, without insurance at Walmart is only $5 for a months prescription. If you can afford to go to the doctor once more for this it might help!

Metformin (Glucophage) helps to regulate your insulin allowing the release of female horomones which helps you to ovulate.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice, I tried clomid and it was unsuccessful. I recently started eating better and exercising. The only problem is I recently lost my job and am uninsured.I can't afford to continue going to the doctor for any kind of treatments, Just wanted to thank you for the advice. If there is anything else that you can think of that would help me,please keep me informed.    :-)

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1999 as well.  I have since had two live births without infertility treatment.  I was able to get pregnant twice in 2003 and again in 2009 after a tubal ligation reversal.  The key for me consistent exercise and very low stress about getting pregnant.  When my husband and I TTC with Clomid treatment, it was unsuccessful.  It wasn't until I remarried and had a very relaxed sex life that pregnancy was successful.
