constant bleeding

i am 46 years old. for the past year i have been bleeding almost everyday. it started with really heavy periods and then after 7 days it tapers off to a light brown discharge that has a bad smell. i never go without a pad or panty liner. at work i make sure i go to a restroom on a different floor. because of the smell. i am single and have not had sex for over a year. i have 2 children 29 and 23. i have never taken the pill and am not on any medication..can you tell me what you think this is...PLEASE !!!!!!!!
Oh yeah sometmes i also discharge blood clots!!!!              help.     what is going on ??????????

Please see your doctor about this... I have terrible long periods and sometimes I need to take Norethisterone to stop the bleed completley - hope you find a solution soon xx

Your symptoms are almost IDENTICAL to mine. I wish I could help you. I don't have insurance and have no way to try to stop this CONSTANT bleeding. Before this past year I used to never have bleeding and now it just won't stop. I feel your frustration!!!
