Cramping after cycle in finished

Good Morning,
I was diagnosed with PCOS about four years ago. I was on BC for a while and off for the past two years. To make a long story short, I started last month on my new BC. Two weeks in I got a period (not scheduled). It was extremely painful, and I called my doctor to see what I should do. She said that it was normal that I was in so much paid since I haven’t had a TOM in 5 months. She put me on Naproxen, which helped.

Two weeks later (my scheduled period week), I got my period again. Still painful, and I took the Naproxen, however it only helped with the paid a little.

I stopped bleeding last Friday (4/17) and am still in extreme pain,  more so than when I was bleeding. I tried calling my doctor yesterday, and spoke with a nurse who contacted the on-call doctor (mine is out of town). The on-call doc said that this is normal, and prescribed me a different pain killer.

Do you think maybe I should call back? I mean, does anyone get cramping after they are done bleeding, much less 4 days after? I seriously am hurting (my L ovary only)…… But don’t want to be a “pain” for the doctor’s office.

PS – I know it’s not gas or poo….. I’m a regular girl, and it’s not that…..  

Thanks for helping! Cyppy

Nope, no chance of that.... I actually ended up calling them again yesterday to have my Doctor call me when she get in this morning. I found out that the nurse I spoke with on Monday had already left an urgent message for my Doc to call me when she gets in (was out of town). Very nice of her.
Thanks for the help msniki... I really appreciate it!

Any chance you could be pregnant? Honestly I dont know if a cyst could develope that soon, but maybe the tech who did your test maybe didnt research properly. You might want to get another ultra sound done, maybe even an internal one as well. The internal ultrasounds are normally more able to pick up abnormalities. I had many of those done, not pleasent. I hope you start feeling better soon! I know how it is to feel yucky and not to know what is wrong with you.

That's what I was kind of thinking. I had my annual two months ago, and she said everything looked fine. Could one develop that fast you think?

I could tell the nurse I spoke with yesterday wouldn't have liked to get the answer I got..... She even said, if you are still in pain tomorrow just keep calling back and eventually they will have to see you, or go into the ER. I didn't think that was very nice of the on-call doc to just say "it's normal".  What's normal anyway?

Also, this may have nothing to do with any of this, but yesterday I got wicked nauseous on my way home, and ended up throwing up.... After that my stomach felt fine, not my craps though....

Could be a cyst. You might want to get that checked out. Doctors really shouldn't perscribe pain killers unless they know what they are up against.
