... could it be due to shock?

I am 7wks pregnant, I started spotting just after I kicked my toe ... actually the whole nail came off ... I had extreme pain, only lasted a few seconds, I felt dizzy and nausea ... could the vaginal bleeding (spotting) started due to the shock?

Siunds like all is fine now but just wanted to tell you that With my dd I bled right after I kind of tripped on my shoes- foot turned to the side when I was wearing platform shoes. I bled quite a bit ( of dark brown blood) and it slowed down but lasted for three days. All was fine.

Thanx for your comments - the discharge changed to a very light brown and it seems to clear up! Thank God

I agree with Adgal. I would call your OB and see if they would like you to be checked out. I had spotting with all three of my pregnancies, two of them turned into my beautiful boys and one of them ended in my mc.

I would suggest resting a bit today. It would be good for you and baby and that poor toe! Ouch!

Hm, not sure if it could be caused by shock or not.  Most of the time it's caused by cervix irritation from things like sex or even straining to go to the bathroom.  Lots of times it's also never really explained.  It's pretty common to spot in first trimester (around 30% of women will) and more often then not it's not a big deal.  Make sure to mention it to your Dr. at your next visit.  If it continues or gets a bit heavier, give them a call.  But usually not much to worry about.  Good luck!!
