33 weeks, and possibly the baby has dropped

I'm 33 weeks and last night I felt the baby drop.  Today I have this weird feeling, kind of like right before you start your period.  My hips are sore, and my lower back is sore.  I've got a doctors apt. today.  For those of you who have had preterm labor, Do you think that is what I'm experiencing???  Thanks, Elizabeth

It is normal for your baby to drop at this time.  Also, when the baby drops down into the uterus, it is normal to feel your symptoms.  You should be seeing your Dr. weekly soon and they will let you know when your have cervical changes for delivery.  Until then, watch for bleeding/contractions, or your water breaks.  Good luck!

That's great that she's not breech anymore.  I always worry about that.  My kids always managed to kick and/or head-butt me right in the bladder--that's no fun either (LOL).  Hope everything goes well.

She was breech and now she is locked and loaded in the downward position.  Your right about the change in the babies position.  Her head has been under my right rib cage and now that her head is down it is very uncomfortable.  Tha doctor said I will have miscomfort due to the fact that my uterus has not been stretched out in that area.  SO, there you have it. All is good, but he said I am probably going to delivery early, so be ready.................

I've never had pre-term labor, but the baby can drop early on, if I remember correctly.  A change in the baby's position/location can cause discomfort pretty much everywhere.  It's good that you've got a dr's appt today--you can check with him/her about it.  Let me know what happens at the dr's today.
