A little bleeding again last night

This was a bit weird.  I could feel beaner moving around a fair bit yesterday and I can feel him again this morning.  Last night when I went to the bathroom I had a bit of bright red spotting when I wiped.  Enough to be noticable, but not enough that it wound up on my underwear.  I double checked and it was definately coming vaginally. Its completely gone today, although I am taking it very very easy, feet up and just relaxing.  I checked his heartbeat with the doppler and all seems just fine, so I am not going to the ER or anything like that.  No cramps or contractions or any other scary signs.  We did not BD or anything.  The only thing I can think of is that yesterday I started tackling closets, etc and worked my behind off cleaning...I think I might be nesting..lol.  Perhaps I overdid it?  I am also pretty constipated the last few days, so there has been some straining if you know what I mean.  I haven't had any bleeding since about 13 weeks, so it scared me a bit.  (22 weeks now).  Anyone else have this at this point?  I do think everything is fine, but am going to call my OB monday morning anyway...better safe then sorry.  Thoughts anyone?

Sorry to hear you have had to go through this worry... again. You sound calm which is great. I am glad to hear all tests are good. My friend had a bleed at this stage and now has a beautiful little one year old girl. Good to get it double checked though.

Oh Goody another ultrasound.  Lets see if you can beat my number of having ultrasounds.  I stopped counting after 20.  But it was awesome to watch Gavin grow while inside me.  I'm so glad this doctor is taking good care of you and showing concern and just being on the safe side.  I would hate to have to come to Canada.  Let me know how things go today.  I was sooo ready to call you last night because I went off to bed right after I put Gavin down and checked the board and nothing, I really started to worry, but I new in my heart that everything was okay.  Plus I always call around dinner time...

Have fun in seeing little beaner today.

Love Ya - Debbie

Hey there,
Well, it looks like everything is just fine.  I am definately not in premature labour...cervix was closed and everything looked fine.  Babies heartbeat was perfect.  She ran a urine test for a urinary tract infection, although it's unlikely that would cause bleeding.  Tomorrow I go back for an ultrasound just to be on the safe side, but she thinks it was just one of those weird things that happens.  I have been feeling him move on and off today and according to my last ultrasound (3 weeks ago) my placenta is fine, no placenta previa or anything abnormal. She said just to take it easy for a bit, nothing strenuous, off my feet as much as possible and she is really not worried.  I am still glad she had me come in though. Even though I knew it was probably fine, it's nice to hear it confirmed.  And of course, getting to visit my baby tomorrow is never a bad thing!!  Thanks for all the happy thoughts and good wishes. Debbie, your sweet, but no need to worry doll.  You know I would have called you freaking out if something had been wrong!  Poor Debbie, how often have I vented on you...lol, but you know I love you to bits!!!!

I'm glad your going in today ;)  JUST to MAKE sure!!!  BUT I do think you over did it, When I was younger & pg, I would go go go & my mom would ALWAYS tell me to not do so much, & now I understand.
Take it easy as much as possible, I'm sure everything will be just fine ;)

It's good that your doctor is brining you in, I'm sure nothing is wrong, but it's good to know that the doctors are taking extra care for you and having things looked into.  Please post when you get back, as you know I worry about you.  Try not to stress, just think you will get to see little beaner again.

Love Ya,
Debbie

So even though the bleeding stopped, I just called my OB.  They are having me come in at 2:15 today just to be on the safe side.  The nurse thinks it's probably nothing, but they want to have a look at me anyway.  Even though I am not that worried about it, it's in the back of my mind and I think this will put my mind 100% at ease.  I'll let you know what she says.

Just to update..there has been no more blood at all.  Beaner's heart beat still seems to be good and he is moving around a fair amount (especially at night!).  I took it easy yesterday, didn't do much of anything and I feel fine, still no cramps or anything.  I guess I just irritated something with all the housework and/or straining.  Thanks for all the advice and good wishes, they are always so appreciated.

hey hun,
the straining during bowel movements and constipation can cause the cervix to bleed a little too. I had an ambulance trip to the hospital once because of early severe labor pains, strong contractions and some bleeding. Thankfully it stopped before dilation! and the cause... you guessed it. Constipation. I had absolutely no idea that was even possible before then. The iron supplements really did a number on my stomache. Drink LOTS of water, and I read that eating a couple of tablespoons of canned pumpkin can help. You might want to look into that. Little one should be just fine :)

I would call the doctor. I had some bleeding when I was PG and it turned out to be from my cervix. I think the dr. said CERVICAL ERIOSION or something along those lines. It is softer during PG. I assume you ahve already been checked out for BV (bacterial vaginosis) which can also do some weird things. HTHS. Best wishes.

I went online too, and it appears to be nothing too concerning either, other than maybe inflammation of the cervix due to sex, but you said you didn't have sex.  Try to take it easy.  Your OB will probably have you come in for an u/s just in case, but please, just relax and stay off your feet...Have Warren give you a foot rub and pamper you today!  : )

I would call your dr tomorrow and go in for a check just in case.  I am glad your baby is moving around.  That is always reassuring.

Thanks ladies.  I did some reading on the internet and it doesn't sound like much to worry about.  As I said, no cramping or contractions or any other sign anything is wrong.  That cervix is so soft now that it doesn't sound like it takes much to irritate it.  I really did do a whole lot yesterday, so that is probably what did it.  Still no sign of anything today, not even brown.  I will just stay off my feet for the day and take it easy.  It just made my heart beat a little faster last night...I had hoped the bleeding was gone for good.  I am being a little obsessive with my doppler today, and all still seems fine.  I am glad this happened after I started feeling movement as that is very reassuring.  It's strong enough now that I can tell it's him and not gas or anything.  I'm still going to give my OB a call monday just to let her know as my next appointment isn't until late October.  I have my 3D ultrasound next saturday though, and we all know how reassuring a visit with our little ones are. XOXO Amanda

Ohh Sweetie just when you start to relax the little one has to give you another scare.  I think you are right you might have done too much yesturday.Take it easy from now on.   I am so glad you have the doppler to put your mind at ease.  I also think that it's a good idea to tell your OB tomorrow.
My friend has a polyp right at her cervix that the doctors never found on ultrasounds or when she went to have surgery to remove the uterine ones.  The only reason they found out about it is during the IUI It was discovered. .They had a hard time getting around  it  but this tends to cause bleeding if she overexherts herself.  Since she got pregnant with that IUI they are waiting until after the baby is born to remove it.
Anyway sorry for the babbling the reason I'm telling you this is that this could be a possibile cause of your bleeding.  She had numerous ultrasounds, surgery and the sonohistogram done and it was never discovered.  Hopefully after it is removed she will be able to conceive naturally for her next little miracle.
bye for now and kisses from me

Hi Amanda...I am so excited that you are feeling your baby move!! When I was pregnant with my daughter (23 yrs ago) I had that happen to me at 25 weeks and all was well. The doctor had no explaination for it but all went well. If it was to continue I would call to see what they think. As long as his heart is going strong and he is still moving around I'm sure all is well. Hang in there honey...lil beaner is going the distance!!!
