Baby Christopher is one-month old today!

Wow time flies and I am SOOOO tired. Little Christopher is a really good baby; fusses a little bit now and then but really not too much and usually for a reason. This is much different than my DS (now 7) & DD (now 9) who were both very colicky so we are enjoying a more mellow babe. My DS & DD are both really great with the baby and get so excited to help with just about everything but changing a poopy diaper. Yay. DH helps a lot, too, but not as much M-F as I'd like b/c of his work schedule. Typical though and not complaining :-) He's a great dad but I do understand that when he gets home at 6:30 he's gotta chill no matter how much I want to toss the 3 kids at him and go for some serious shopping or spa therapy!!

Since the last babe was 7 yrs ago I'd forgotten about the intensity of sleep deprivation...holy COW. I can't function and I get so short fused and irritable with the rest of the family when I'm so tired. I need to find a solution and just saw the post about this. When do these little creatures start sleeping for 6 hours at a pop? Even 5 and I'll be better!

I've had to start back to work which STINKS but at least I can do it from home. And I've decided thru all of this that I'm going back to school to finish my nursing classes. I realized while being in the hospital w/ Little Christopher that I NEED to help people rather than continue surviving in Corp. America's rat race to line our bosses pockets. I talked to some local schools and should (God willing!!!) get into a good program here in Fall '09 which will mean the little guy will be almost 1 1/2 years old then. Yay

How are all you other new mommies doing? I don't see very many posting on here anymore and sure hope you all stay around!! I still don't have many pics up (so little time) but am going to get them up soon.

Hope everyone is doing well and good luck to all the pending new mommies out there.

Blake will be 1 month tomorrow, geeeeze!!  I just put him in a 3mo sleeper, ugh, I think he's 11lbs already.  I am soo glad your mother is finally coming around. I was concerned for her.  For some reason I am taking the sleep deprivation easier this time around, I don't know why. I think tonight I'm going to actually get out of the bed and nurse in the family room so I don't wake dh. He's been gone all week and I need him fresh! One of us has to be right?  Good for you for going back to school.  The things I would do now in hindsight, right?  I'm glad your children are at the "helpers" age, that is great! Mine is extremely needy since the baby and she's not a needy child. It certainly helps w/my parents being in town to give her the extra special attention. AND THEY HAVE A POOL, ha ha...
Blake was up ALLLL night last night BUT this morning I swear he slept from 7:30-12:00 when I finally woke him up to feed. The little booger was tired too from being up all night.  I think I'll throw a little tummy time on him tonight before we hit the hay! Well, there he goes crying, hope everyone gets some sleep tonight!!!
