Tight Tummy, Big Baby

Hi Mamas, I just started my 35th week and have been experiencing a lot of pain, well, everywhere around my abdomine--upper, lower,  sides (wherever side I lay down on). There is just no more room and I'm always out of breath. This is my first pregnancy and I dont know what contractions feel like. But the fact that im feeling so much pressure around my entire tummy,  I feel like they are contractions and the baby feels very dense against my belly skin. It hurts to also try to switch my SOS sleeping positions from one to the other. The pain also runs down to my pelvic area as I shift sides. Any idea what could be going on? Am I contracting?

Thank you, I wil definitely start on the deep breathing.  The baby likes to bulge out a lot, too, which is also painful.

I started feeling Braxton hicks contractions around 34 weeks so it could be that - it's your body preparing for labour and moving the baby further down. Try deep slow abdominal breathing - it helps me. Always best to call your doctor/midwife if you're concerned; that's who will know best.
