Breech at 25 weeks (and 3D pic)

had an ultrasound the other day.  (a 3-d one at that)  And my baby girl is breech.  Ob not concerened, because at this early stage many are.  about 25%, then by the 36th week down to only3%.

I got to thinking though, I wouldn't mind a quick 20 min. surgery as opposed to the 26 hr. labor i had last time!

anyway, anyone else breech?  Here's a link for my 3-d pic:

My baby was breech around the time yours is and she stayed like that the whole time.  We tried a version but they couldn't turn her.  She was born by c-section at 39 weeks one month ago.  She was perfectly healthy and the birth and recovery have been a breeze!  I loved it and it is nice not to have to associate any bad feelings with her birth at all (no pain, hard labor, etc).  It was all very magical for us!!!  (OBs played John Mayer Daughters while performing the operation - I was bawling!)  I highly recommend it!!

for me the labor was a breeze but the delivery was shockingly difficulty.  I think that is because all the videos you see are edited to only show about 5 minutes of the whole thing.

Hopefully she will get turned around.  I don't think the recovery for c-sections is as difficult as it used to be, but with natural birth, I was up walking around the same day.

best of luck.. I'm glad everything else is going well for you.

There is plenty of time for baby to switch. My 2nd turned breech then back down again, both within weeks of her due date. It was the weirdest feeling and sight though when she did finally turn. My whole stomach was moving and bulging as she turned herself around. She was still born c-section because she never dropped . . . big baby at 10lb 5oz, 21 inches!

UGH... Im going to demand another u/s my next visit. My OB knows nothing about me. I am paying him 176.00a month after insurance and and the past two months go in get weighed, bp, and pee n a cup. that it! oh.. and he listens to the heatbeat. but hell... I can tell thats good..I fill her kicking and moving.
shes beautiful Stephie. gottal love  those u/s. not really sure but I would think theres plenty of time for her to move in place. thats just my guess.

meli meli, -  no i didn't order the 3-D, its just what that ob does.  i'm seeling my regular ob that doesn't give me ultrasounds at all, just my monthly checkups and answers questions, then i go to a high risk ob, he does ultrasounds at every visit, and always tries to get a face picture to convert to 3-d. he almost gave up this day because her hands were blocking her face, he caught this for the slight moment she had them down enough.

vsentz-  i agree, and everything i've read about trying to turn them... its only 50% successful, risk of rupturing placenta, risk of rupturing membranes....risk of going into labor...
i don't likethose risks.  I realize there are risks with surgeries too, but i hemorrahged with my 2nd miscarriage and am too afraid of these risks... especially the placenta one.

At 30 week u/s my lil guy was still breach, dr said he won't turn permanently til about 34 to 36 weeks.  When there is less room to move around in. I hope he turns tho cuz if not i would hafta get cut at top of tummy cuz i have a friboid in the way of a bikini cut c-section. lol I just think it will look ugly after it would heal. ~d

Yep! Maddie is breech too, at 27 1/2 weeks (2 weeks ago), and the lady wasn't too concerned about it either...
And YES! i agree with you!!!! 100%!!! I would not mind a little zip-it in the belly as opposed to the 'dangers' of natural delivery... (yeah yeah yeah, i know is better blah blah blah.... and the recovery is faster... but who cares! i'll be home with my tiny one anyway! im not wimpy in that aspect... i can suck it up =))
It scares me beyond belief that she'll get stuck in the birth canal, or that she runs out of oxigen, or they have to break her little shoulders to pull her out.... AHHHH!!!! TOO SCARY!!!! I have to stop watching 'a baby story'......
