Change in Ovulation Post Partum

This isn't really a problem, more a curiosity, and I wonder if anyone else has had an experience similar.  Prior to having Ryder, I had absolutely no symptoms around Ovulation time.  Of course there was the change in mucus, etc., but nothing else really.  My cycle came back about 4 months after he was born.  They are very regular, no problem there.  The weird thing is that around O time, I have symptoms I would consider a bit unusual...at least I have never heard of anyone else having them.  They are almost pregnancy like...headache, mild nausea, mild bloating.  Nothing serious or unbearable, they are all very mild, so mainly just annoying.  They typically last 2 maybe 3 days, then are gone.  Anyone else have anything like this happen?  All was well at my pp checkup and my regular subsequent physical, so it's not a medical problem.  It's really not even a problem, as I mentioned, just more a curiosity.  Anyone?

No, no new symptoms for me during O time. Still have pain on the side, same thing as before.

What has changed for me is the length of my periods: they used to be very light, 12 hours heavy and now they are 3 days heavy! Could have lived without such long periods.

Lol, I have it all worked out. I have decided it means an increase in progesterone around O time, which is a good thing for implantation and pregnancy sustainability right?  Oh, how I can make things work for me...lol.  No idea if any of this is even plausible, but it makes me feel better..lol.

Dana, it makes me feel better to know I am not the only one experiencing this.  I couldn't find any real info on it...it doesn't seem they are common O symptoms.  Did you have it after each baby, or has it just been after Macy?  Did it last?  It's kind of annoying, know what I mean?

THanks.  It's just so odd.  I guess if I think about it, I do have a bit more cramping pre and during AF as well.  It's all very subtle, so I hadn't put much thought into it, but when it happened this cycle I began thinking that it seems to be every month around that time.  Almost a bit like I've eaten something off.  It's so weird.  But, I guess our bodies do change after baby, so why not those hormones too!  It must be some sort of increase in progesterone I guess.  Oh well, now that I am trying for no. 2, maybe it's a good thing..lol.

I noticed some changes during ovulation after jazmine was born too.  I haven't experienced what you described but I do experience ovulation "pain" which I had never felt before - I recently turned 35.

I have also noticed changes in PMS symptoms and during my period since giving birth 2 years ago.  I attributed all of this to body responding differently to hormones since pregnancy. Lol
