Could I be pregnant?

I had my tubes tied when I was 23.  I do not know the method the doctor used but I am in my 40's now and I have missed my "P".  I also have sore breasts and I feel tired and hungry alot.  I don't remember how I felt before when I was last pregnant because it was so long ago.  It would be a miracle and I would be very happy.  I don't want to get my hopes up but I do believe in miracles.  =)

Yes, It is possible to become pregnant after having tubal ligation surgery.  I became pregnant at 36, almost a year ago after having this operation done 7 years ago.  We lost our baby at around 10 weeks, possibly due to low progesterone.  I'm currently waiting to see if I could be pregnant again and should now shortly.

Please feel free to contact me.

Although it does happen every now and then it is pretty unlikely that you would be pregnant naturally with your tubes tied.  It just doesn't happen too often, although I have heard one or two stories where it did.  The only way to know for certain is to take a home pregnancy test or see your Dr. for bloodwork.  If you are not pregnant and want to be there are options through IVF so hope is definately not lost....it just may require a little extra assistance...fortunately we live in a day and time where that help is available.  Good luck to you!!
