40yrs 15w3d and dead tired all the time!? Tips to increase energy PLEASE!

Help! I just returned to my day job today after 2 & 1/2 months of the worst hyperemesis gravidarum! I was sleepy all day and it hurt my pelvic area (cervix and uterus) to sit for very long on the hard school chairs. I came home with a splitting headache and slept for three hours in between bathroom trips to pee every 30 minutes. I also have a night job waiting tables I'm headed to this weekend. I really REALLY NEED my energy back and get in the swing of things at work! PLEASE send me all of the tips and tricks you have to increase energy! I feel so old and everything hurts and I'm so ready to start glowing and be happy!!

Hello dear! so glad ur past the 12wk mark. I recall how worried you were about it. I'm 12wks 2days or so now n have been exhausted myself.  my iron levels are apparently low... which is half the problem. my doctor (who is an integrative functional doctor )has suggested an iron infusion if it doesn't get better in next 4weeks. speak to ur doctor about iron:) small meals frequently helps for sure n as hard as it is to do when ur tired stretching, yoga or going for walks is really good too.  all the best!

39 yrs old and 24 weeks pregnant.   I have been avoiding sugar and processed foods since I found out I was pregnant,  around 6 weeks along.  I have a cup of tea with a little bit of honey in the morning.   I eat small,  healthy meals and I feel great.

I eat lots of nuts through out the day-packed with iron and seems to keep me more alert. Almonds, walnuts, cashews, etc., & I will throw in dark Chocolate almonds or peanuts along with dried cranberries for a little sweetness. I try to drink water regularly & daily walks if you can get one in. I'm 22 weeks & haven't had the issue of being tired..at least not yet! Good luck getting some rest & try to prop your feet up when you can :)

Thanks ladies! I appreciate any and all tips! This app and my Dr. says that I'm out of the first trimester but maybe my body is still hanging on to it. Ok, I'll just try to sleep as much as possible on the non work hours and hope for this to pass!

I feel so bad for you. I'm 39 and at 30w 6d. Energy has been a real problem for me. I wish I had answers for you but I dont. More nights than not over the past 30 weekd after work I've come home and collapsed on the couch. It wasn't until my 3rd trimester that I occasionally started to see glimmers of who I used to be (someone  who came home and cooked dinner or did other things at night). So you're not alone! Just try to take good care of yourself and take it one day at a time. Get as much sleep as you can. Naps during my lunch breaks are precious. Good luck!

I'm 19w4d and still tired every day after. I work 9-15 and that is max I'm capable of. I sleep every day after work 1 to 2 hours and I cant force myself to do anything. My iron levels were low, I think it caused my sleepiness.
