Am I pregnant?

I have been on birth control for exactly one week and 5 days. I am taking Yasmin. I have not been great at taking them exactly on time every day and I missed a day and just threw out the one I missed. On the 7th night of taking the pill my boyfriend came inside me and we have been having unprotected sex since. I have not had any nausia. I did see blood last night but I also saw blood in my stool. So on top of all that I have obviously have been having crazy bowl movements such as constipation and diharea. I have been extreemley bloated every time I eat or drink any fluids. I have gained 7 lbs since I have started taking the BC. My brest have not gotten tender nore anny tingling but have become larger. I know that is one of the effects of the pill. I have also been experiencing lots of gas and just recently with the bleeding I have had some cramping like menstral cramps along with sharp pains shooting up into my stomach but more so on my side. I have noticed that I have been a lot more emotional and cry easier than I normally would. I am also going through a lot of trying things in my life at the moment so ontop of the new hormones in my body and the added stress of a bad ongoing divorce I am confused. I don't know if I am pregnant, or if it is the hormones adjusting to my body. Also the blood in my stool has me concerned because my grandpa on my moms side passed away from colon cancer. So all of this happening has me very confused. I really don't know what to think. Is it cancer? Pregnant? Or just Birth control? Any help anyone can be would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

I really do want a baby but in respect to my boyfriend I am waiting, which is why I went on birth control. But we both agree that if it was to happen then so be it. As far as the blood in my stool that was the first and only time it has happened to me. I still have shooting pains in my stomach and find that I am always hungry. I am more sleepy than normal but still no nausia. I will take the advise as to waiting closer to my period date which should be around the 20th of this month. I have not told the BF how much I hope I am pregnant, just hoping that a miricle happens. I could be "safer" and use condoms but he doesn't seem to be to concerned about it either. I know I have a lot of time to have a baby but I am afraid the longer I wait the less my chances will be because I was a victim of rape at a young age. But even after going to the docs all they told me was that as long as I have a menstral cycle then I should have no problem. I also think that because I want a child so bad that I trick my mind into having the symptoms, and that when it really does happen I am not going to be able to tell.

I really think you need to see a Dr., blood in the stool is not normal.  It certainly does not mean you have cancer, there are many things it could be, but you do need to see a Dr. sooner rather then later.  As for being pregnant, the only way to know for sure is to take a test as you get closer to the time your period is due.  You should use an alternative form of birth control when you are first on the pill, but I think you know that.  But do make a DR. appointment this week.  Good luck to you.

I am not a doc but it's doubtful you would be having pregnancy symptoms this early, however you should see a doc about the blood just to be sure..I also think you should have your boyfriend "cover up" no matter what,, especially if you don't want a baby.. You should bave waited at least a month for the pill to be effective. When is your period due? You should take a test closer to date to be 100 %.. This Yasmin stuff might not be the right choice for you so call your doctor to get  the best opinion.. best of luck
