Early pregnancy Insomnia???

Hello to all.  I am brand new here.  I've posted a couple of times but cannot find the thread(s).  I'm still becoming familiar with the way this site works so forgive me repeating myself.  :)

Nine days ago I had my Mirena removed.  It was at the end of my cycle that had started five days earlier.  My cycles were between 25 and 31 days long in the past 7 months.  Four days after the IUD came out, I felt crampy the way that ovulation usually feels for me.  I just started charting temps and that day before my temp dropped only the slightest bit.

So, four more days later (after what I thought was ovulation), I experienced INTENSE uterine cramping.  More accurately to describe the feeling as definitive uterine contractions.  (4 m/c's and 3 babies).  The day just before this I felt 'pinching'.  In addition to the INTENSE cramping, I had 'no doubt about it egg white' cm, an obvious drop in temperature.

Here's my questions...Clinically, looking at temperatures and cm, I would guess that ovulation just took place.  However, and this is a big however...I have been having new and unusual symptoms for about six days begining with insomnia and intense fatigue bouts, nausea waves, CRAZY dreams,  unusually emotional, seriously increased sex drive and constant wet cm.

The insomnia coupled with the uterine tightening (that continues) is what is standing out the most for me.  I have a hard time believing that I could really be pregnant already and am doubtful because I know the Mirena has really messed up a lot of people.

So, what does everyone think?  My crazy cat has been kneading and cuddling me like I'm on my death bed (which was my very first sign of my last two pregnancies).

It's way to early for me to test.  This could all just be my body readjusting from the Mirena but it sure does feel like pregnancy.  Either way, I'm driving myself half nuts!!

I've read hundreds of posts and have been reluctant to say anything.  Oh yeah, here's a new one...the burping and farting...?!  I never had that one before!  My girlfriend was very gassy during both of her pregnancies and it was her 'sure' sign.  Anyone else???  Usually it's my boobs (and the cat).   :)  :)

Thanks for any responses.....

Does anyone have a suggestion for getting to sleep at night?  I'm dying here!

Thanks for the response.  I'm feeling like the good year blimp today!  For unkown reason around the dinner hour (of which I did not eat), my abdomen swelled up like I was 6 months pregnant.  Mind you, I have been struggling to shed about 10 pounds in this area but it isn't normally this bad!! :(

Reassuring to think it might all be for a child.  I can't wait until it is late enough to test!

I had insomina early in my pregnancy and a lot of anxiety, but it wasn't until about 9 weeks along.  It went away after several weeks so I guess it was hormonal.

I don't know anything about Mirena, but is that something that has any hormones or chemical associated with it?  If so, it's possible that removing that from your system could have caused a hormonal change in your body that might cause some of those symptoms.

The gassy stuff.. heck yes!  I bloated like the good year blimp and am still embarassingly windy! :P
