I have to agree with adgal. FSH is an indication of your ovarian reserve; and lowering the number wouldn't change the actual ovarian reserve. In other words, high FSH is the symptom, not the cause of a decreased ovarian reserve. However, like trying43, I have heard of women with high FSH numbers who take DHEA to improving egg quality. Not sure if there is any research out there to support this, but I'm sure you can google it and get some more information. Good luck with everything!

I'm not sure about medications, but a great way to start is to cut out foods high in caffine and sodium. TCM or acupuncture and traditional chineese herbs also help as they nourish your uterus, increase blood flow to your reproductive orgains as well as treat any deficinecies that your kidneys may have as they are linked to the health of these organs, also try royal jelly capsuals as this helps with the quality of eggs that you produce

There is no medication or proven method of lowering FSH.  There are some herbal remedies that purport to do this, but most fertility specialists are skeptical.  Here is why.  A FSH test measures ovarian reserve.  We women are born with our supply and there is no way to develop more of them.  So when you have an elevated FSH level, it often means your supply is getting low, and/or of poorer quality.  So personally, I too am skeptical of claims on how to lower the level.  It just doesn't make sense to me.  That being said, I have no doubt you will get responses from people that disagree with me.

Keep in mind that an elevated FSH does not mean you can't conceive, it just means it's less likely. I have met plenty of women with high FSH that have conceived and maintained a healthy pregnancy.

Best of luck to you.
