3D Ultrasound on Saturday....

So we have booked a "fun" 3D ultrasound on Saturday.  I just love other peoples pics when I see them and now I am especially excited as my last 2 ultrasounds were a disappointment where the pics were concerned.  I bought a package that included 2 3D ultrasounds at different times.  This one will be at 23 weeks and I was thinking of booking the other one for 30 weeks.  I was wondering what you ladies who have had them recommend for time frame to get the best possible look at him.  I have heard that doing it when you are too far along makes it hard to get good pictures as he will be so big then.  What do you think?  When did you do yours?  Also, they are sending a link to my parents and Warren's parents (they are in another city) so that they can log on and watch live!  Anyone else do this?  Did your "guests" get a good view?  I am sooo excited!!!  I love seeing my little boy!

Thanks everyone. We are our families can't wait to see this. For my in laws this will be their 3rd Grandchild (all boys) but my SIL didn't have anything like this.  For my parents this is their first grandchild and they are just beside themselves with excitement.  Both sets of parents are in another city so this is a nice thing to share with them, really makes them feel involved.  We bought a package that includes 2 of these ultrasounds along with the live video feed, discs, etc.  I think we are also going to get his heartbeat recorded into a Teddy Bear for when he is bigger.   In reading these posts, sounds like booking the second one for 30 weeks is a good choice as well.  Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments!!!

Exciting! Can't wait to see pics! I got one with Brody at 28 weeks and they were perfect! I think they say week 28 is the ideal week to have them. Baby starts to deposit fat but is still tiny enough to get a good full picture. We were VERY satisfied with ours!!

That is very exciting news.  When I had my twins they didn't have 3d or 4d back then.  I had a lot of u/s's done.  They were pretty good to see.  They are all faded now though b/c it was the paper kind.  I can't wait to see my little one in about 12 days and counting.  I wish it would come sooner.  I am getting anxious to see if it's 1 baby or 2.  My husband keeps on teasing me that we r having twins again.  I guess we will see what happens on the 13th.  Please let me know how it goes on Sat.  I am curious to see the 3d images.  Keep up the good work girl.  You r almost there.  Take care & we will talk soon.

I can't wait to see pictures of him!  I have to say I too have been dissappointed that you have had two ultrasounds and we haven't seen one picture!  :)  I did not do a 3D,  but my 20 week ultrasounds were great for both of my kids,  but I had some around 32-36 weeks with both of them, and I couldn't see a thing other then BIG baby parts-  it was hard to get a good picture of their faces at that point...  so I wouldn't do the other much past 30 week, esp since you are paying for it!  I'll be interested to see what others have to say-  I think I'd do it even a week or two before,  just to be on the safe side....  but its hard to tell!  I didn't do any at 30 weeks and past then 2 or 3 weeks can make a BIG difference-  so 30 might be just fine!
