How can I stop worrying all the time!!

I am 22 weeks pregnant. I have had two miscarriages in the last two years we knewn from the beginning of the two miscarriags that they were not healthy and would fail to grow. This one has been great everything right on track baby boy looks great all test comin back great.  I even feel great !!!!    I have a doppler so I get to hear babies heartbeat everyday and night..............so why do I feel one day everything is great and the next the baby is not ok?? Should I call my doctor and tell her??

Oh, I did the same thing also.  I even was worried about autism when a report came out that older mothers have a higher risk, blah blah blah... until my doctor said to me, why worry about something you have NO CONTROL OF????  Whatever happens, happens so enjoy your pregnancy and realize that worry is normal, just don't make it override your joy!

Worry during pregnancy is normal but if you feel  that things are getting out of control, let your doctor know since there are things that can be done to help.

During my pregnancy I checked for blood EVERY time I used the restroom - hows that for worry?  I felt much more relaxed when baby started kicking on a regular basis.  I never had a doppler ant the worst part of the pregnancy for me was the "honeymoon period" where I didnt have any pregnancy symptoms and baby was not yet kicking so no "symptoms" to signal I was still pregnant.

It helped me very much in my pregnancy to have a big project going on (cleaning out, fixing up, and selling my dad's house) so not only was I too busy to brood about the pregnancy, but also I was moving all the time so I really felt great.  You will definitely feel better once you hit the 24-week point, where they can deliver a baby if they have to with good odds of survival even if it's in the NICU.  But the only thing I can suggest besides time is getting some kind of big activity.

im 21 weeks preg and also had 2 miscarriages in the past 2 years....i have been worrying this entire preg and everytime i think ill be ok once i hit x weeks i get there and worry about something else...

im trying to keep my mind occupied and get outside and do things...nap when im tired and just have time for myself right now...i also tell my fiance my fears which helps because he always seems to make me feel better about things...his typical answer is "we made it this far" ....

i also have a doppler at home and that is my savior...anytime i dont feel the baby kicking or punching me i get it out and check on my little sprout...it gives me peace of mind...

another thing that helps is that im extremely high risk since my miscarriages (diagnosed with blood clotting disease so i take heparin) so i have an ultrasound a month and my ob appts are about to increase to every other week

i would discuss your fears with your doc at your next appt...there is nothing silly about them and your ob should be able to provide advice to help comfort you...

im sorry there is no exact answer as i have realized that until i am holding this baby i will worry the entire time...its the amount of worrying that i have to learn to control

congrats and best of luck
