Hcg increase 900 every 48hrs

I'm a 38 yr old woman who had a miscarriage 6.5 yrs. ago. Currently am pregnant and worried. After what I thought was my normal cycle I continued spotting bright red to brown. This happened first miscarriage so i took pregnancy test = positive. Since I have had 4 beta test and first on 29th = 1900, 30th=2710, 31st=3460, 2nd=4310, and today 5900. progesterone was low at 5.19 then 5.89, then 6.98 and was put on progesterone suppositories. As of today it leveled off at 18. still light spotting. The doctor says not looking good because not doubling and have ultrasound on Wednesday. Any helpful or hopeful answers for me?

Thanks AnnieBrooke,

I just wish that whatever this comes out to be will just be. I was very content knowing that I couldn't have any children and then this. Now Im worried sick, and asking why after all this time and now this cruel joke. I know God knows best and everything happens for a reason. These blogs are not very helpful either, because some women say wait it out and a miracle will happen.  That I may just be out of the median range for what they consider normal........

Well, the doctor is right that if the number is not doubling, or near doubling, that is not a good sign.  All you can do is cross your fingers and have the ultrasound.  Good luck!
