Glad to hear i'm not the only one who can't fit into my pants. I'm 2 weeks post IVF also.
Though I would have at least 2-3 months before that happened. Guess this means I get to got shopping
I was literally in pjs every day after my retrieval and during my tww after IVF. I gained almost 10 pounds. I couldn't button my jeans or skirts and felt so bloated and spent most of the time at home. At 5 weeks I'd lost the 10 pounds but had to cave and buy a pair of maternity jeans and wore them just about every day.. that and flowy summer dresses. I just went for comfort. Now I'm 12 weeks and can only wear maternity pants or loose dresses. Haven't gained an ounce but my stomach makes it impossible for any of my other clothes. Good luck on your cycle!
i went to elastic waist pants starting a few days before my retrieval from the bloating and never made it back to real pants (now almost 21 weeks along)
i think it also depends on where the baby likes to hang out, mine prefers to have her head jammed up against my bladder at all times so she is very low compared to most....
friends who are carrying a bit higher were able to get into some regular clothes again between IVF and later pregnancy
I think I started having to unbutton my jeans button on car trips (sitting a long time) in July when I got pregnant in April. From then on it was just easing into more forgiving-waist stuff. I still could wear some of my pre-pregnancy skirts in July, but after that just went to more casual stuff that didn't ride much on the tummy.
I didn't do IVF, but when I was pregnant I had to buy maternity clothes pretty early on...I went from bloating to just plain old showing. The clothes I bought took me right through my pregnancy. They stretched out nicely and stayed comfy. Congrats to you.
I'm 14 weeks pregnant after IVF and was never able to get back into my regular pants/jeans once I out-bloated them very early on (pretty much right around the time I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks). There's another woman on here who did "permanently" lose her IVF bloat/weight at some point, though. Good luck!
