How soon did AF arrive after birth?

I was wondering how soon your period came after you had a baby.  After my first child, I didn't get my AF for about 3 mos...this time I got it 2 days ago (7 weeks PP)....

I also wanted to add that my first AF coincided with starting to supplement with formula for the first time at 9 months and a dwindling supply. They all seemed to go hand in hand.

My son was 9 months old when I got my first AF with my last pregnancy. I was breastfeeding as well. I loved not have it! I hope I am as lucky this next time.

I just called my OBs office, and they said AF can show up anytime after 6 weeks PP,  breastfeeding or not...Believe me, I'm NOT happy to have a period to deal with again!  : )

Hmmm, interesting...I don't think so, I'm taking Fenugreek and it's actually working pretty good (so far).  After the birth of my son, I didn't get my period for about 4 mos, and I was breastfeeding.

Maybe it wasn't really AF.   Seems very soon for you to get AF, esp if you're BF.    I think you had your baby one day before I had my baby and I still haven't seen AF yet.  She can stay long gone as far as i'm concerned.   MAybe it's just some spotting or something like that.  To be honest I can't remember from my last pregnancy when AF showed up.

They also say once your period comes on your milk production will slow down.  Did that happen to you?

I still haven't gotten my period and I gave birth on December 30th.  But, I'm still breastfeeding, so that is why mine hasn't shown up.
