how do you know your baby is head down?.. Worried!

I've been having all kinds of dreams lately about my unborn. Dreams like he is not head down, me having a c-section, the cord is wrapped around him, his lungs not fully developed etc. Im really worrying myself as bout that. I ask my Dr. for another ultasound and she say they usually dont do it unless there's something wrong.. HOW DO THEY KNOW IF SOMETHING IS/ISNT?. I will be 38wks tomorro and I worry everyday. Thinking I should just go up to L&D tell them I'm having pain or something just so I can check to see if my son is ok
