Acupuncture, anyone?

Has anyone tried acupuncture to balance their hormones?  I made a consultation for next week.

I've always had regular AF cycles, 27-28 days (28-29 in my '20s) but my Dr. found a functional cyst on my ovary last month and it's totally screwed up my cycle.  I had breakthrough bleeding last month on CD14 that turned into a regular period and today I'm late by 2 days.  HPT was negative.  

My Dr. is cycle monitoring me so he can time fragmin injections for when I ovulate.  (Fragmin is for blood thinning, which may have contributed to my earlier miscarriages.)  I wanted everything to go smoothly, but now my body is failing me;(

Thanks Amanda!  Yes, well, I wasn't pregnant, so I've been staying off of this forum.  I also got married so stopped TTCing (I know, I know, crazy at my age but I feared the shots and another chemical - I didn't want to worry or get sad about things so my Dr. told me the one month won't matter. ) But here I am still not pregnancy with this stupid cyst:(

I have found quite a bit of positive info on the effects of acupuncture in dealing with hormones, and even to prevent miscarriage. I have often thought of giving it a go, but I really don't deal well with needles.  The idea just gives me the eebys..lol.  You would think after all the blood tests I have had in the last year and 1/2 I would be over it, but still...hate em.  Let me know if you give it a shot.  I would love to hear your opinion.  Oh, and great to see you back again...I missed you!!!
