wow... they picked a heck of a time to leave !!!
I know our Church is a perfect place to go and meet people. You would be surprise on how many people would love to help you in time of need.
maybe your 4 year old can go with them to Disney World cruise ? those cruise lines have wonderful care for littleones.
I would go to a neighbor and ask them for help. perhaps one that is home all day. You have between now and then to strike a friendship up with and get to know them on a personal bassis.
you are in a tough spot. I guess you can even talk with your OB and perhaps have it scheduled. was your first at 40w? alot will determin your progress while carrying. I have read with age, is another factor of dilervering earlyer too.
Good luck.. I hope this get worked out so you can have peice of mind.
I hope the timing works out well for you. My 2nd baby was only 3 days early. My first baby was born on her due date, 40 weeks on the dot. Both on a Sunday. This baby has a Sunday due date too, so I'm expected the full 40 weeks this time too. Good luck. (26w4d)
I am kind of in the same position as you, My DH works 2 hours away and although he is planning on taking time off close to the due date, I always seem to go early, with my son it was a month early. So I have arranged, or DH has arranged with the neighbors that if they get a call from me *possibly in the middle of the night* it could mean that I need a ride to the hospital. Our closest neighbor is fine with it, he's a cop and told me he would have me there at top speed but very safe!! I sure hope so!
How far are you from the hospital? Maybe you could arrange to be induced on a certain date?
I'm talking to the little tiger everyday and telling him he has to wait! I just can't imagine having no one around when I deliver :0(
My son was 5 days early, this little guy has a really slow heartbeat, which scares me a little 120-130. Plus I'm facing an uncertain genetic outcome 1:84 NT+Afp or 1:74 Quad results. Of course this brings up a whole other batch of concerns in case the baby needs medical attention!
Thanks for the good thoughts.
AFP blood tests have a very high rate of inaccurate results. My doctor no longer does the AFP blood test because of this.
Best wishes that everything works out for the best. Good luck.
