he he he... steph you are so cute! and that belly! man! i can't wait to really look preggy! I am with Ashleysmom and 40smama... I looooooove maternity clothes, even if they suck... because I am PREGNANT! and i pictured myself and longed so much for so long wearing them, so this is my dream come true now...
I am definitely showing a preggy chin! oh man... I cannot see my feet anymore! and I (normaly flat chested) have a set of incredible KNOCKERS! lol =) definitely, pregnancy does women's body more good than bad.... at least in my case.... or is it that im way too happy??? lol
Well, I'll be finding out the sex this saturday (for the ones that didn't know) so, I 'll be posting probably that weekend or on monday..... stay tuned! =))
I am so nervous.... I just want a healthy, complete baby..... Please God, just do all you want to me! but protect my baby!!! =/
Anyway, I'll be taking the 18 week pic today! I'll be posting it sometime later or tomorrow! =)

Happy monday everyone!!!
Hey, that's about how I looked at 14 and now 15 weeks! I'll try to get a pic to share later today.
We should all share pics. I'm not sharing my chin or thy pregnancies though:)
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Been out of town for my sons soccer playoffs so I had to put my 2 cents in too. I know I've said this before but I Feel Like a House already and I'm 17 1/2 weeks w/ twins which is suppose to compare to a 32 week singleton. Anyway, knowing that I'm going to continue to grow (a bunch) i don't want to spend alot of money on maternity clothes. I have found some cute stuff on craigslist for about $5 a piece including my favorite gap maternity pants. If you have CL in your town i recommend it. Ours here is pretty popular so there is tons of stuff on it. Some of the kids resale shops sell maternity wear also...just fyi.
Syre-I can totally relate to being out of breath! Man, its awful. I even started getting dizzy spells and had to call my doctor friday. Blood flow is just so restricted especially w/ twins and when you exert yourself (even climbing stairs) its worse. And the anxiety about a Huge belly is not fun either!! Lots of lotion & vitamin E!
Have a great week! Can you believe 3 weeks till Christmas?

cpatow, I found the black velour two-piece outfit at Kohl's, on sale the morning after Thanksgiving. (the only early morning my pregnancy insomnia actually came in useful.)
stephie4, I'm so glad to see someone else with a similar size baby belly. I feel like I really popped out front fast this time!
(15wks)
oh, i'm so huge.... i'm only 14 1/2 weeks. -- I couldn't button my pants at 11 weeks. and am wearing maternity shirts or long sweaters a size larger than my own.
these pics were taken at 12 weeks

I'm having a no-more-waist pregnancy. Seriously. I'm very hippy normally with a smaller waist in proportion to my thighs, hips and chest. With my first child I didn't even show until 6 months because my waist went away and bulged out on the sides before my belly popped out. With my 2nd pregnancy I showed out front first and now, 3rd pregnancy, I'm bulging on the sides again. Wonder if that means I"m having a girl?? Maybe we'll find otu this week. I think my thighs are actually a little smaller andat 16 wks have only gained 3 or 4 pounds so far (get huge stomach aches if I eat too much and so hardly feel like eating). I'm size 14 normally so I'm trying to keep weight gain to 15-20 (medically supervised) so if I don't gain a lot this time I'll be happy.
But maternity clothes? Holy cow I think they are so ugly this time around. I can't find ANYTHING I like and maternity tops just look ridiculous on me. I'm wearing maternity pants but mostly the kind that sit below the belly as the full panel kind look absolutely pathetic. I"ve tried Old Navy, Motherhood, Kohl's and Target. Maybe I need to up the ante and do some designer damage because I'd rather wear a mumu that some of the styles that are out now. I'm actually hoping to find some cute empire-ish waisted flowy non-preggo shirts ... maybe those will last for a long time.
Tahariel, where di you find the soft black velour hoodie and pants? NEED THAT and NOW. :0)

I'll send a message to your inbox.
And, for a continuation on maternity clothes, I found a cute and super soft black velour hoodie with matching pants. So comfortable and cozy that I anticipate wearing it often!
I'm going to have to break down and go for the maternity clothes, too I suppose. I guess it doesn't make sense to buy a bigger size every other week.
I'll check out Gap. Glad to hear there is hope!
I'm higher risk due to my age and all my m/cs. It's pretty standard out here in CA. I'm not sure if the location makes a difference, but everyone I know over 35 has it done.
That's great on your ultrasound, etc.
I actually rented a doppler and was able to hear the hb at 8w4d. I use it every day, but just for a second or two. Once I find the hb, I'm outta there. It is great peace of mind and just $29 per month from Babybeat. I also have been feeling movement regulary for at least a week now. I started feeling it occassionally at like 12 1/2 weeks. In fact, it's doing aerobics right now.
I find I feel it a lot more sitting down, leaning forward.
Let's keep in touch!
What is your next step? I have an OB appt. on Tues, then the big amnio on Friday.
Just wanted to put my 2 cents in - started in maternity pants about 4-5 weeks ago. Weirdo that I am - I actually love maternity clothes especially from Gap- they are so much better than they were 15 years ago when I was last pg. I'm w/KellyM - I'm definitely having a booty pregnancy. Not a boob one :-(((( - jen (18w2d)
Is the amnio a standard test at your doctor's office, or are you high risk? I just turned 36 and my doctor has not mentioned an amnio at all. I think he only does one if really necessary. My nuchal translucency ultrasound looked good and my blood panel results should be in next week. Praying for good numbers on those. I have a 1 1/2 year old and my blood panel results then were "excellent" according to my nurse, so I'm hoping for great numbers this time around too. We declined the cystic fibrosis test because there is none anywhere in our family lines.
Waiting game for me is anxiously waiting until I can feel the baby move regularly. Until then I change from fine one day to nervous wreck the next. Yesterday, fine. Today, nervous wreck. Yesterday I thought I felt a little "tap, tap" on the lower left of my big belly. Today, nothing noticable yet. I'm such a nervous mama.
Wow, we are close!
Mind if I ask how old you are? Are you doing any testing?
You may have seen my other post that I have an amnio in one week. Yikes. Dreading it and the waiting game. I'm almost the big 4-0.
I'm 14wks 5 days, and definitely look bigger than I did at this time with the first 2 pregnancies. But, that's okay. It's all for a good cause, right? This time I'll be treating myself to a local pregnancy fitness class with a great instructor. I'm excited to join in a couple weeks after work finally slows down a little!
Just saw that you are 14w6d . . . we're really close!
p.s. can't believe your mother-in-law said you were gaining in your face! Nice! Then again, sounds like something mine might say too.
Anybody have a chin pregnancy? I think I do. My mother in law pointed out how I have gained weight in my face. Great.
Tahariel - how far along are you?
hahaha you guys make me laugh
Well, I have the thigh pregnancy too! I bought a couple t-shirst from Old Navy *& a couple of long & short T-shirts from motherhood maternity. Okay so, they are still hugging my fat, they're just longer?? I had some great maternity clothes from dd but was pregnant in all HOT weather. (not like it gets really cold here in FL, but the colors & all are all different!) Bright vibrant colors in December, Ughh. I have worn a few t-shirts but that's it. No one around the neighborhood knows I'm pregnant, or at work. I just keep buying bigger shirts for these hooters!! ONe day it' s just going to scream after a weekend of eating, HEY I'M PREGGO!!
This is my 3rd baby too and I sure did pop out front fast. I've been in maternity pants for several weeks now already. Good thing they are so comfortable, and since there is no zipper, I don't have to worry about accidentally forgetting to zip my jeans after a bathroom visit! I've only gained 4 pounds so far, but I definitely look very pregnant!
Wow, congratulations (on the weight loss of course). Good for you.
I think I have a butt pregnancy, too.
I am 14w today third baby.. and I lost 100 lbs like 2 years ago.. now that my belly is getting bigger it is freaking me out because I don't look pg just look like I am getting fat again... :( I haven't started wearing maternity yet (have only gained 3 lbs so far) I am really trying not to gain but this week has been shot with problems with dh and sickness I have just eaten a lot of junk and not worked out at all. I need to buy some maternity clothes so I can look pg and not just fat.. haha
Thigh pregnancies...the worst kind.
Amen on the ugly maternity clothes comment! The designers could do a lot better. Oh, well, it's only 9 months. I'm saving my $$ for a new post-pregnancy wardrobe!
I wasn't very conscientous during my first pregnancy -- had a lot of milkshakes and didn't exercise. I'm making a better effort this time with the diet and walking every day, so I'm hoping (HOPING) I don't gain 50 pounds again this time!
I think everyone freaks out a bit. It's strange dealing with all the changes in your body, especially the first time.
I was really worried when I had DD. I gained like 45 pounds or so but was small to begin with. Luckily it all came off within 3 months and then some. Breast feeding helps. Plus, I started walking after the first week although they tell you to wait 6.
I'm trying not to gain quite that much this time around, but I'm not off the the best start. I just got on the scale yesterday, and at 14w6d I have already gained at least 8 pounds...
I think I'm having triplets because there are two large masses in my thies.
50?!?!? Oh man....I'm gonna need to go buy a wheelbarrow...I can just tell.
Tell me, are anxiety attacks normal? Seriously. When I see women who have really big pregnant bellies I just freak out. I get so short of breath now with just the slightest bit of exertion. I am overweight, but have only gained 4.5 lbs so far...scratch that, i lost 1.5 lbs when I weighed this morning. So that makes it only 3lbs but I'm guessing about 10inches. lol
This will be our first babies, and I try to not let the little stuff get to me... Sometimes it's hard not to.
I just bought a couple of cute tops from Old Navy and Abercrombie. They're kind of tight in the boobs (which is great for me since I just got a boob job!) and flow out. Guess that's the style these days.
I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow and am definitely showing. I also had to buy a new pair of cheap jeans. My size 2 pants are just a cruel joke these days.
I hate the thought of maternity clothes. They are usually so ugly and not a lot of choices.
I'm not too skinny either, but I have so far to go in this pregnancy! I gained 50 pounds with my last pregnancy and only lost about 40 of them before I got pregnant again. Oh well! Here's to a healthy pregnancy!
I could have started wearing maternity clothes a couple of weeks ago, but instead I left my pants unbuttoned and used a bella band. That started getting uncomfortable though.
(Twins! That's so exciting!)
