Hey ladies...Here's a good one for you!! I announced my BFN and I am still PISSED off about that...Now, just for the heck of it I used the ovulation stick...same time 10pm that I always do and guess what??? It was very very dark!!! Now AF was due on Sunday...we did the deed(LOL!!!) last night and after I went to the bathroom and there was a little bit of blood when I wiped. That was it. I thought the BD would bring on AF...it does that sometimes...well still nothing. AF is missing in action. Anyway is it normal to have such a dark result on an ovulation stick the day after AF is due??? The 10th, 11th and 12th the tests were dark and then lightened the next day. How can I be ovulating now when AF hasn't made an appearance yet??? The OPK is "Ovusure" and it had very good ratings. You can look it up if you want to. I am very confused. I mean this test was DARK!!! Why?? Please help me. I am calling my OB today to see if they will get me in to run some tests...like the FSH one. Any input for my confusion would be very welcoming!! Have a wonderful day...it will be 94 degrees here in my part of NY today. It went from Winter to Summer overnight!! Love you all!!
My opk's turn + when I am pregnant......TAKE ANOTHER TEST!! It may show up now!! (why did you do an opk?)
It's unlikely you're ovulating right now but not impossible. Hormones and all... I don't want to get your hopes up unnecessarily, but I do know being pregnant can give you false OPK results. Try taking another HPT. I tried OPK's to see if I was still ovulating and I was getting some odd results too so I gave up. I need a better brand I think. I was just using a no name type.
Thanks, The reason I tried the test is because I've heard that some women ovulate twice and since AF hasn't made an appearance I would just try it out...can't hurt right?? I wasn't expecting it to actually be dark like that. Anyway, I had to ask you ladies because you know more about that than I do. Any reason I should have had the blood after sex? It was just that little bit when I went to the bathroom. Does that mean AF is coming and just taking her time? I don't have anything now at all!! I guess I'm just an odd duck is all!!
Are you against trying another hpt? You could be preggo and it could be implantation bleeding. I don't want to make too many assumptions, I would start by re-testing. GOod luck
I'm not against re-testing, what's another negative right? When should I re-test? I took the last one on Sunday.
OMG, I would go get one right now. I am very anxious for you. Do you have any inkling that you may have tested a day or 2 too early?
Dawn, I have used OPK's while pregnant and they went positive as well. Get a Beta done. The bleeding could also be irritation from BDing with a softened cervix. But if you re really late (and you are), bleeding during BDing, those are all symptoms my friend. I know it could be other reasons as well, but get that Beta, and let us know girl!!! Fingers and toes are crossed!!
OK ladies relax...LOL!!! Amanda...how am I really late. AF was due only 2 days ago? Second...the test I took was the early results test...so if I took that on the day I was due...shouldn't it be accurate? I am at work right now (teacher aide) so I can't just go get one right now...bummer!!!! Now you got me thinking...Keep everything you got crossed and I will do this after I am home later...about 6:30. Thanks soooooooo much!!!!
If you took the test the day you were due, it "should" have been accurate. BUT there are no absolutes right? Even FRER's website doesn't give you 100% accuracy on results for AF's start day and there is no guaranteed time when conception or implantation happens either. I'm so scared to get your hopes up again because I know how tough those BFN's have been for you , but heck if I were you, I'd be testing as soon as I could. I'm with the others... take the kiddie's on a field trip to the drugstore for a test. LOL
So...I call the Doctor's office on my lunch...they are out til 2. How convienient for them. Now, I can't call them back til I'm done with work. Typing on the computer is entirely different from using the phone during a class. Anyway, I will take another test at 6:30 when I am home for the night and if that is still neg. then I am having a blood test done. Meanwhile I wait to see and who knows, between now and a blood test AF could suddenly appear to ruin everything. I kind of like it that the possibility is still there. We shall see. I used an OPK with my last pregnancy and it showed a dark line when I was in fact pregnant. I think you are pregnant and maybe implanted a bit late. Let us know what your test shows.
I have also been told that you can use OPK as a preg test in a real pinch. This would be a great surprise. I wish you oodles of luck. Maybe your patience will pay off, I would have peed on like 12 sticks by now if AF was late!!!!!!!!!!
Trust Me Ladies...I am dying over here. Patience has absolutely nothing to do with it...Fear of a negative does. I want to use FMU so that if I am pregnant, there will be an abundance of HCG and I will have an accurate result. Just promise me you will all be there to pick me up if it's the wrong answer!!!! My David just told me I should pee already so my lady friends can sleep tonight...LOL, how funny is that!! He is sooooo cute!!!

Don't worry about FMU, just hold it for a couple of hours..lol. I may not make it until the morning...everything hurts from keeping it crossed....I look like a pretzel!!!!!!! But you know I will be there to either celebrate or hold your hand!!!!
OTFLMAO!!!! Ok, I compromised...I peed on another ovulation stick. I have lots of them! I only have one hpt here and I want to use it first thing. I held it for 1 hour for the opk and believe me...I had to go. Anyway, it was still dilluted, the lines are lighter tonight but the test line is still darker than the control line so that made me feel better. I am not drinking anything else tonight...it is 9:50 here and I want to go to sleep. If I wake up in the middle of the night I will do it then and post as soon as I do ok!! Love you guys!!
oh great.. LOL.... now I'm going to have to log in and check this post during the night just in case you woke up... BUT based on our time difference, you should have posted by the time I wake up in the am anyway. With all my heart I'm wishing for that BFP for you! But you better test soon or I may have to drive up and uncross Amanda before she gets stuck that way. LOL

OK so now I'm confused ladies!!! My opk is still positive but It's another BFN!!! AF is still MIA and I'm going out of my mind!!! I don't understand how this late...3 days I can have very positive opk's and very negative hpt's.
OMG, WHAT?? Dang, that doesn't make sense :( :( :( I've been dying to hear. I am so sorry. I just don't get it! Are you going to get blood work? I'm sorry for pushing you so hard to test to get a BFN but I'm just so confused. I don't think you're "O", so Ugh, :0(
